And the company is claiming that the Mazda MX-5 has the fasted folding hardtop in the world and in the convertible category. You only need to push one button and the Mazda MX-5 starts folding the hardtop and stashes it right in its storage space. All these happens in a dozen seconds.



This became a reality when Mazda went into a joint project with a German aftermarket company that goes by the name Webasto. And according to the vehicle manufacturer, the hardtop only adds a mere 77 pounds to the vehicle. But it would not be changing the performance of the vehicle for the Mazda MX-5 also went through several changes to make up for the added weight.
